Earl Sweatshirt always manages to surprise us, and once again, he's just done that.
Just a year after releasing his last album, Some Rap Songs, Earl has dropped a surprise seven-song project, Feet Of Clay. It's largely self-produced, with the help of a couple of friends, namely Mach-Hommy, Mavi, Alchemist and Ovrkast.
Speaking about the project, Earl said, “FOC is a collection of observations and feelings recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire.” The title is a reference to the Bible's Book Of Daniel, which is a portrayal of 'end times'.
If you're lucky enough to be heading along to Camp Flog Gnaw, then Earl will be performing on November 10th, in what will be his first performance since releasing this new project. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the performance is live-streamed for us Earl fans in Australia, like last year's was.
Don't forget that Earl's due to hit Australian shores in February next year for the national Laneway Festival run, alongside Charli XCX, The 1975 and more.
