We all know that when you watched Eminem's 8 Mile for the first time you thought, "I wish this had more of a British comedy vibe to it."
Well, you're in luck, 'cos Ed Sheeran's gonna make a movie exactly like that for you about himself.
The loveable Brit wants to turn his attention to film and soundtrack something about his life with songs that he's already written.
“I want to have an 8 Mile moment but 8 Mile meets Notting Hill,” he told Q (via NME).
If you're as confused as we are then read his explanation below:
“Not gritty like Detroit [where 8 Mile is set] but, like, Ipswich. I’ve got loads of songs about Ipswich that haven’t come out so I could make a soundtrack.”
Yes, Ipswich is an area in Queensland but we think he's probably referring to Ipswich in Suffolk, England although we're totally up for an Ed Sheeran movie about Queensland if he'd like to make it.
He further spoke about the film to The Sun saying, "I really want to make a film that I do the soundtrack for and star in."
“I am in talks with one filmmaker that I really fucking love and we are going to slowly but surely put something together. I would want to cast all unknowns. I want to have low-budget, indie, British-made film.”
Show us what ya got Ed Sheeran, you only get one shot, one opportunity.
