E^ST is gearing up to release her debut album, I'm Doing It, on Friday, July 31st this year. She's already released a trio of sings from the album - Fresh Out Of Love, Flight Path and Talk Deep - with Talk Deep coming in at #70 in 2019's Hottest 100.
She's just released the fourth taste of the album, Maybe It's Me, and it's yet another hit. Speaking about the song, E^ST says, “My music’s always been driven by my emotional state. It’s the way I express how I’m feeling, but just as often it’s how I find out how I’m feeling.”

We're super excited for E^ST's debut album - so we've put together everything we know about I'm Doing It, and what fans can expect from the album when it drops in a couple of months.
I'm Doing It follows on from years of singles released by E^ST, including the likes of Life Goes On, Blowjob and I Don't Lack Imagination. She's previously released 4 EPs - Old Age, The Ailey, Get Money! and Life Ain't Always Roses, and was recorded with long-time collaborator Jim Eliot, who's worked with the likes of Halsey, Anne-Marie and Ellie Goulding.
The album is set to see E^ST dive deeper into her feelings. Speaking about the album to triple j's Richard Kingsmill, E^ST described the album as being deeply personal. “The first half of the album is all about being a heartbroken mess as your life falls apart, and it’s wallowing in that with no effort to make sense of it. I mean you need to have a wallow — it’s crucial.”
Talk Deep was the first cut that we heard from the album, released late last year, and focuses on a new relationship. Speaking about the theme of the track, E^ST says, "Talk Deep is about having crazy chemistry with someone and not wanting to miss out on a single second of it... Who needs sleep anyway?"
E^ST has always been able to capture the feeling of growing up, and this track does that perfectly - young love is a special feeling, and E^ST is able to represent the euphoria that comes along with that feeling of meeting someone new.
Flight Path was the next song to be released from the album, just in time for last year's Christmas. In a statement about the song, E^ST says, “Flight Path is a bittersweet song that tells the story of going from being close and intimate with someone, to being complete strangers, and touches on the odd feeling of being alone again and all the possibilities that come with that.I t features a piano riff that you won't be able to get out of your head, long after you're done listening to the track.
Fresh Out Of Love dropped in February this year (just in time for Valentine's Day). Speaking to triple j about the track, E^ST says, “At the time of writing it, I was feeling vulnerable and tired. I found myself listening to the big heartbreaking love songs of the 60s. This song ended up being a modern interpretation of those songs.”
It's not hard to hear that influence of songs from the 60s, with strings permeating throughout. If you've known the deep, deep exhaustion that comes with heartbreak - then you'll immediately recognise it in this song.
We can't get enough of the album cover for I'm Doing It. The album art features E^ST hanging out with a zebra - which, if you ask us looks very fun (but it's probably not a real zebra, judging by the photo). We gotta ask though -is a zebra black with white stripes, or white with black stripes?
Check out the tracklist of the album below - it drops on July 17th, so you'll want to mark it down in your calendar.
