FKA twigs has just released her new mixtape, CAPRISONGS, and it features a range of collaborators, including The Weeknd, Jorja Smith, Pa Saileu and Daniel Caesar. However, while there are a heap of incredibly talented musicians on the project, there is one omission that fans have noticed - Dua Lipa

The pair teased a collaboration called Why Don't You Love Me during Dua Lipa's Studio 2054 live-stream back in 2020, and fans have been awaiting it ever since. It hasn't materialised yet, though, as FKA twigs told Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 show, she'd like for that to change.

Speaking about the collaboration, FKA twigs explained that she recently received a push to finish it off. "A friend of a friend sent me a voice note of somebody that I've never even met, like basically hassling me for that Dua Lipa bump. I was like, that's just like the cherry on top. I'll just put that on. Why isn't it on the internet? Honestly, there's literally no reason," FKA twigs said.

"I think there's actually no reason why we haven't finished it. I don't even have a reason. I've been busy doing the mixtape, but maybe I'll give Dua a little call. Maybe it's something that we need to - Yeah, we'll do it. Yeah, we will. We will do it. We'll do it. We'll do it. We'll do it. Yeah. There's no reason. I have no explanation. I feel like I'm in school, you know when your teacher tells you off and you just have no reason for why you didn't do your homework?"

CAPRISONGS, FKA twigs' first project since 2019's Magadelene, has been described by her in a series of tweets as her "response to where the world has been at in recent times the humm of the background podcast acting as the soundtrack to our lives as we desperately try not to be alone pablo [Diaz-Reixa] had so much belief in me it gave me a lot of confidence to want more for myself as an artist."  It's pop music filtered through a futuristic lens, and it'll keep you on your toes.
