Elton John and 6LACK are the latest members of the Gorillaz universe, and we can't believe how well it works (but really, we're not surprised).
Gorillaz teamed up with the two artists for the latest track in the Song Machine series, The Pink Phantom, and we've got it on repeat.
It's the seventh song in the Song Machine series, and it might just be the craziest collaboration yet. That's a big statement, but we stand by it.
You've got utter chaos with all the different elements, but somehow, it works perfectly. Elton's voice cuts through all the noise, and his piano playing is enough to bring a tear to your eye.
Speaking about the track on Twitter, Elton John said he was stoked to be teaming up with Gorillaz. “I’ve always been a Gorillaz fan so when Damon reached out and asked me to get involved it was a no-brainer. The way the song turned out is just great." Elton, we couldn't agree more.
The @Gorillaz track I worked on is out tomorrow! I’ve always been a Gorillaz fan so when Damon reached out and asked me to get involved it was a no-brainer. The way the song turned out is just great – I can’t wait for you to hear it ??https://t.co/NK05tiGFeR pic.twitter.com/v0pXmz3rHn

Check out The Pink Phantom below. We never realised how much we needed Elton John to join the Gorillaz universe, but he fits perfectly in their art style. He truly is the Rocket Man.
