    Gorillaz Say They Are Working On A New Album For Release Next Year

    We waited seven years for Gorillaz latest record Humanz but it sounds like we won't be waiting much longer at all for the follow-up.

    According to the visual mastermind behind the project Jamie Hewlett, they have something in the works.

     “We are working on another Gorillaz album which is going to be released next year,” he told TASCHEN.

    “So we’re going straight into the next album with no break, usually we have a good 5 years break but this time we decided to keep going.”

    He's also hinted that the record will go in a "new direction" saying, “I’m inventing a new style for the next Gorillaz album.”

    Very exciting stuff.
