Fans are always wanting their favourite artists to produce new and unique merch ideas - and Grimes might have come up with the most out-of-the-box idea yet.
As part of her new online art exhibition, Selling Out, Grimes will be selling drawings, prints, photographs and conceptual pieces.
One such piece is called Selling Out, which sees Grimes selling part of her soul for the "best offer", so if that's something you're into, it's time to check how much cash you've got available.
Speaking about the artwork, a press release from one of the galleries hosting the exhibition, Maccarone Los Angeles, says "Selling Out, a conceptual artwork that lends its title to the exhibition, is the culmination of Grimes’ holistic art practice. It expands upon the conceit of partitioning and re-administering one’s identity, whose art is their soul.
"Selling Out is executed as a contract in which Grimes sells a fraction of her soul, formalizing the idea that every time an artist sells a piece of their art, part of the soul is sold with it. The purchaser will enter into a contractual agreement that outlines the terms of ownership and ultimately the connection to the joy of artistic expression."
Grimes originally priced her soul at $10 million USD, but given the coronavirus pandemic, decided to change that to whoever could provide the best offer, given the hard times that many people find themselves in at the moment.
Check out some of the other artworks set to feature in the show below - and if you're a Grimes superfan, then it's time to put in an offer.
