Janelle Monáe and Prince collaborated on multiple occasions before he passed away in 2016 and it looks like they also worked on material for her forthcoming album Dirty Computer.
Monáe dropped two huge new tracks from the album on Friday Make Me Feel and Django Jane with the former reminding people of the late great legend.
"Prince actually was working on the album with me before he passed onto another frequency, helping me with sounds," Monáe told BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac.
"I do miss him and his spirit will never leave me."
Following that, Prince's DJ Lenka Paris wrote on her Facebook that she remembers Prince playing her the "groove" of Make Me Feel.
"He opens his computer and plays a groove. Then this heavy synth hits and my 2 friends and I go simultaneously "oh shit!", he heard us and laughed," she said.
"Last night I heard Janelle Monae's new song. As soon as the synth came in, I went "oh shit! That's it!". He gave that to her. That man was such a pioneer, and so ahead of his time."
She further called the song "brilliant" which is something we can totally agree with.
