Kimbra has announced her third album Primal Heart revealing that it's due to release early next year.
It's been three years since her last album The Golden Echo and she said in an email sent to fans that a few things have changed since then.
She's moved to New York from Los Angeles and set up a home studio. "It is here that I started to formulate a palette with which to create the next body of work," she wrote.
According to the Kiwi artist it's the, "record I've been waiting and wanting to write for so long."
She's worked on the record with John Congleton who has previously worked with Blondie, St. Vincent and Nelly Furtado.
A new single is coming soon and she's directed the video with Guy Franklin who she worked with on videos like Cameo Lover and Settle Down.
