Art pop icon Kate Bush's 1985 masterpiece Running Up That Hill has become one of the biggest songs of 2022 thanks to Stranger Things, with the soaring track featuring as a key part of one of Season 4's most impactful scenes. Ghanaian-Australian singer/songwriter/producer/DJ duo Kinder have celebrated the song's renewed success by transforming it into a banging dance tune that we'd love to hear played at the club.
Posting on TikTok, the pair showed the steps they took to turn the track into a dancefloor filler, including adding a breakbeat to the track. We've loved seeing how modern artists have reinterpreted Running Up That Hill in recent weeks, and this version might just take the cake.
Kinder wrote in the caption for the TikTok, "We wanted to hear what it would sound like if we turned Kate Bush into a dance song in 2022." We can't get enough of this, and judging by the comments, neither can a lot of music fans.
The sibling duo recently released their Yenko EP, featuring four uplifting tracks that celebrate their Ghanaian heritage and their musical journey to date. It's a joyous project that'll make even your worst days feel just a little bit better.
