Limp Bizkit's music usually gets the blood pumping, but a re-imagining of one of their biggest tracks lends itself more to sitting in a theatre and enjoying a show.
YouTuber There, I Ruined It, takes popular songs and transforms them/"lovingly destroy(s) your favourite songs". He's previously transformed tracks like Chop Suey and Shake It Off, but this might be their crowning glory.
There, I Ruined It describe the new version of Break Stuff as “a jaunty Broadway musical number”, and it's hard to disagree. It's proof that "everything is made better by horns and tap dancing".
One commentor says that "20 years from now, theatre kids everywhere will be singing this song from the Lin-Manuel Miranda production of Chocolate Starfish: The Fred Durst Story". We now NEED for this to become a reality.
Check out the track (and the accompanying music video) below. Which do you prefer - the original nu-metal anthem, or this new version?
