It's been almost four years since Melanie Martinez dropped her debut record, Cry Baby, and it seems that little Cry Baby has grown up - she's heading to school, with the New York singer unveiling a very creepy trailer for her next album, K-12.
The singer's still rocking that technicolour, hyper-pastel colour palette that we fell in love with and the trailer for K-12 takes place in an eerie, magical private school - think flouncy frilly dresses, dead-eyed dolls, terrible teens, perfectly manicured gardens and lots of baby pink.
It's cutesy-meets-creepy though, like Marie Antoinette mashed up with Get Out mashed up with Willy Wonka. The cool part is that this trailer hails from a full feature musical film written and directed by Melanie herself, which will be released on September 5th ahead of the album release on September 6th.
As expected, the album will be another concept album with school-inspired songs - check out the track list below. You can also pre-order the album and grab yourself some gorgeous pastel merch right here, including school rings, socks and even a heart-shaped vinyl.
If only we could buy that pink school bus.
