Normani's appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to take part in their Musical Genre Challenge, and she's put a country spin on an R&B classic.

She was tasked with turning TLC's Creep into a country track, and pulled it off with ease. The segment is designed to push artists outside of their comfort zones, but honestly, Normani's country-style vocals sounded flawless!

Backed by the house band, Normani's version of Creep had the swagger of the original version, but if you didn't know what song she was singing, you'd believe it was a huge country hit. Consider us impressed.

The cover has been endorsed by TLC, who shared it on Twitter and wrote, "We ♥️ @normani’s countrified version of #creep on @jimmyfallon 2nite." If it's good enough for TLC, then it's good enough for us.

Normani returned in 2021 with her latest single, Wild Side, after a 2-year wait. It was worth it though, as the track saw her team up with Cardi B to show off their Wild Side, with the song interpolating Aaliyah's One In A Million.

Speaking about the potential for her debut album coming in 2022, Normani told Entertainment Tonight, "I wanna tell you that summer is gonna be lit. Yes, the summer’s gonna be lit. We’re doing everything, we’re doing it all. I’m ready to perform, I miss performing.” 2022 might just be the year of Normani.
