Of the countless contributors to Cool Accidents, at least 64.7% of them agree that Oscar & Martin’s For You was one of the quintessential Australian records of the past decade, and very likely of the entire history of the universe since the dawn of time including all canonised classics and the Dark Side of the Moon. Deadset though, the pair of them made one hell of an album that was a) forward thinking enough to compete with international talent and b) retained it’s national identity so as it never needed to make use of the old “Australia’s answer to…” chestnut.

Luckily for us, the both of them are at it again through their new projects Oscar Key Sung and Martin King respectively. And the title and imagery (courtesy of the talented Ben Montero) of this post might give you the impression we’re taking sides, we really aint. They’ve gone their own directions and they’ve gone em’ real good like.
