We're a big fan of mash-ups, especially ones that take us a bit by surprise. Phoebe Bridgers has shared a mash-up of her song Kyoto and The KillersMr. Brightside, and we're so glad it exists.

Taking to Twitter, Phoebe shared the video of the mash-up, originally posted by @early_boiii. The video for the mash-up features performance footage of both Phoebe and The Killers, while the mash-up takes her vocals on Kyoto and pairs them with the instrumental of Mr. Brightside.

In sharing the cover, Phoebe simply wrote "this fucks". Short but sweet. It's not the first time she's tweeted about The Killers, either, writing back in 2019 that "The Killers are just The Strokes for people who kind of want to fuck Jesus"  before adding "and they are my favorite band".

The pair have worked together before, with Phoebe joining the band for a track off their 2021 album, Pressure Machine. Album highlight Runaway Horses features Phoebe, and it's a collaboration that brings the best out of both artists.

Speaking about the collaboration with NME, lead singer Brandon Flowers said,  “She has a little bit of Wild West in her. She has rodeo people in her bloodline. She brought a sadness to the song that’s integral to it, but also inherent in her. It was the perfect combination.”

Check out the cover below. Honestly, Phoebe's ringing endorsement should be all the push you need to press play on this one - there's no way we could say it any better.
