The Pokémon Company celebrated their 25th anniversary by making Pokémon cards of Post Malone, Katy Perry and J Balvin, and it turns out that these are now the rarest Pokémon cards ever.

Digital versions of the cards appeared on The Pokémon Company's website, while a physical version of their individual card was given to the trio of artists. They all contributed to P25, which was an album released to celebrate the anniversary. Other artists on the album include Vince Staples, Lil Yachty and Tierra Whack.

Fans were holding out hope that these cards would be released at some point, but in a new statement under each card on their website, the company wrote, "This special Pokémon TCG card is for promotional use only.

"[Musician] was gifted with a printed version of this card as a special thank-you for [their] collaboration and contribution to the [P25] program. Currently, there are no plants to print this card for consumer use or purchase."

To give some context, the Pikachu Illustrator Promo Card, considered "the most valuable and rarest Pokémon card in the world", recently sold at auction for over $195,000 USD. There were 39 copies of this card ever released, as the card was awarded as a prize in a CoroCoro Comic illustration competition.

Katy Perry, J Balvin and Post Malone now have the rarest Pokémon card money can buy - and if you ever come across a mountain of cash, make them an offer. Given the recent boom in card collection, those cards (should they ever sell) will be worth a fair chunk of change.
