Sydney singer-songwriter Billy Fox has just released his new single, Hurry Up And Crush Me, and we're premiering the video for the track right now. If you're a fan of Bon Iver or Frank Ocean, then you'll enjoy Billy's alt-R&B sound. We're digging the way his vocals meld with the track's production, and it's the perfect song to soundtrack your next drive.
It's a track that captures the way life can go against us, and learning to accept those ebbs and flows of existence. The video for the track reflects this, and the warm colour palette used throughout the video looks amazing. You'll find yourself getting lost in the small details of the video, including the footage of a drive through the city at sunset. It's hard to find a more beautiful sunset than one during the Australian summer.
Speaking about the video, Billy says, "This video came about through collaboration between film maker Alex Campbell in Melbourne and Macario De Souza and Jarred Lammiman from Hype Republic here in Sydney. Alex created all of the film content for this campaign during Melbourne’s second lock-down.
"Hype Republic then came on board to film all of the shots with me in it in their Sydney studios. It was edited and colour graded by Jarred Lammiman to create this beautiful piece for HUACM. Thank you to the whole team for their TLC on this one."
Check out Hurry Up And Crush Me above. Billy is set to drop new singles in April and May, so you'll be hearing a lot more from him in the near future. Not only that, but if you're looking to ask Billy any questions about the video, he's got you covered.
