PVRIS's new direction continues with the release of Monster, which is jam-packed full of synths that are loud enough to make your walls shake.
2020 saw Lynn Gunn step into the limelight, announcing herself as the lead singer of PVRIS, as well as driving their new direction by playing the guitar, drum and bass parts, producing beats and singing vocals. She was really doing it all! This resulted in their acclaimed third album, Use Me, and the momentum's continued ever since.
Monster will shake you awake no matter how tired you are, with the chorus feeling like it's moving a mile a minute. We're excited to see where PVRIS take their sound in the near future, and this is a great example of what they've been working on.
Speaking about the track, Lynn says, “Monster is a song about reckoning with outside opinions and expectations put upon oneself. It can be easy to take on the weight of negative situations/opinions, this is about the struggle of releasing those inhibitions and internalisations and returning back to yourself.”
