Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, we're giving you a new Bazzi cut from a fresh project plus Brockhampton's latest.
JessB - So Low (Feat. Paige)
Kiwi MC JessB has dropped a new EP New Views and it houses this gem So Low. It's one of the softest songs she's ever been apart of, lamenting on love over acoustic guitar strums.
BROCKHAMPTON - If You Pray Right
If You Pray Right is the second drop off their forthcoming album Ginger and it's a winner. It's a hard-hitting cut with swirling brass instrumentation that takes a melodic detour at the end.
DRAM - The Low Down (Feat. H.E.R. & watt)
DRAM may have dropped rap songs in the past but we're cheekily including this one in here because it's not a rap song. This is a singer's song - one for the fans of pure vocals. He absolutely smoulders on the low down with the inimitable H.E.R.
Bazzi - Fallin (Feat. 6lack)
Bazzi has got a whole project out today Soul Searching and it features this 6lack collab Fallin. It's exactly what you'd expect from the pair - a woozy, sadboy trap cut that immediately sticks in the head.
Trippie Redd - !
Trippie Redd and Diplo have teamed-up once again this time for the dancefloor-aimed i. It's the title track of his new project and it's an energetic, tempo-raising start from an otherwise slow-moving collection.
SAINt JHN - Anything Can Happen (Feat. Meek Mill)
SAINt JHN's profile skyrocketed when he was included on Beyoncé's The Gift and now he's capitalising on that with a new song. Meek Mill is also recruited on this rock-influenced, dark jam.
