Shelley FKA DRAM is busy introducing his new persona to the world, and he's recently appeared on NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) Concert to melt all of our hearts.
Shelley's played the Tiny Desk before, back in 2017, but that feels like another time in his career. Instead, he's gathered a band for this performance, and draped in silk pyjamas, Shelley's looking luxurious.
Speaking after the opening track, Exposure, Shelley says, "It's like a new beginning. Full circle. So this time, call me Shelley." We're meeting Shelley, who's not making cruisy, melodic hip-hop anymore as DRAM - instead, he's here to sing his heart out.
Of course, the DRAM persona isn't totally gone, and Shelley is just a little bit cheeky, and very charming, during the performance. Make no mistake though, he's here to make you swoon and sway.

Shelley's just dropped his self-titled project, changing the date to honour his late mother, and this NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert is a taste of what to expect. We can't wait to hear how tracks like Rich & Famous sound on record, and if this concert is anything to go by, the upcoming album will sound groovy AF.
