Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting a new Saweetie Latin-infused banger and Meek Mill's emotional tribute to Nipsey Hussle.
Saweetie - Sway With Me (with GALXARA)
Here's the hip-hop spin on Sway that you never thought you needed. Saweetie and GALXARA offer a high-octane performance over this Latin beat for the Birds Of Prey soundtrack that has already gifted us bangers by Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat.
Meek Mill - Letter To Nipsey (Feat. Roddy Ricch)
Meek Mill and Roddy Ricch performed this for Nipsey Hussle at the Grammys after he won two posthumous awards. It's an emotional dedication from two rappers who will forever be singing Nipsey's name.
Lil Nas X - Rodeo (Feat. Nas)
Name similarities were apparently enough to bring these two together. They performed their remix of Rodeo at the Grammys and then dropped it straight after. Cardi B fans won't be happy she's been dropped from the track but maybe the novelty of big Nas and Lil Nas on a track will make it better.
A$AP Ferg - Value
A$AP Ferg is still the Trap Lord and he doesn't want you to forget it. Value, his first single of the year, is a relentless flex that sees him right back on form.
The Kid LAROI - DIVA (Feat. Lil Tecca)
Aussie young gun The Kid LAROI has teamed up with viral rapper Lil Tecca for an anthem that's surely going to blow up. The woozy, late night rap track is the stuff streaming hits are made off. Watch it fly.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - King Of My City
After winning over Aussie audiences at FOMO Festival, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has dropped his first single of 2020. King Of My City is full of those melodic bars we've come to expect from A Boogie and it's sure to be another hit for him.
