Rich Brian is back with Bali, a song about the popular tourist destination, with Rich Brian describing his experiences visiting it, both with his family, as well as his friends and brother. It's the first track he's released since he dropped his second album, The Sailor, in July 2019, and he's brought Guapdad 4000 for the ride.
Both rappers employ melodic rap as they spit, and while Rich Brian doesn't always collaborate with other artists, he says it's something that came about naturally. "It was really easy to collaborate with him because he was open to changes and everything. He’d send me his version and would ask what I thought of it.

Speaking about the song in a statement, Brian says it's about not letting capitalism get you down, but instead, focusing on things that really matter. “This song touches on battling against the social construct and not letting the capitalism in this generation make you feel like you have to stress yourself to reach a certain level of status by working so much that you lose touch of everything else in life, the simple things that create happiness, friends, family, love, at the end of the day all that matters is love."
For now, Bali is just a standalone track, but Rich Brian told HYPEBEAST he's "currently working on a lot of music". He's not worrying too much about what he's going to be doing with it, but instead, " I make things and if I like it, I’ll put it out."
