Nicki Minaj is one of the greatest to ever do it. She has the record for the most appearances in the US Hottest 100 of any female and she has three platinum selling albums. She's proved herself over and over and yet she consistently finds herself in headlines pitting her up against other female rappers.
She's had enough and she's taken to Twitter to call out the blatant sexism in the industry.
"In any field, women must work TWICE as hard to even get HALF the respect her male counterparts get. When does this stop," she wrote.
"The greats collaborated w/Drake, Kendrick & Jcole b/c they’re dope MC’s. They collab’d w/nicki cuz someone pulled a gun to their heads..."
In our opinion, Nicki is one of the greats up there with Drake and Kendrick and that's the rhetoric we need further to combat this problem that plagues everyone from Cardi B to Lil' Kim.
"Putting ppl in the same sentence as me after my 10 years of consistent winning. What are you teaching THEM? They’d never do this to a man," Nicki further said, possibly addressing the amount of headlines she's been in with Cardi B lately.
Check out the tweets below. Nicki's fourth album is on the way.

Kendrick’s tweet from 7 years ago. This is so telling. And scary. I’d have to wear some baggy pants n timbs for men to openly give props. https://t.co/r6fEjSJZPl
