Saweetie and Doja Cat have joined forces to gas each other up on Saweetie's new track Best Friend. It's a track that'll get you reaching out to the person you ride or die for, and having a big night out (or in).
The track is a precursor to Saweetie's debut album, Pretty B*tch Music, which is on its way soon. The pair trade bars over some absolutely banging drums, and it's the empowering track you need to start off 2021 right.
The track sees the pair celebrating each other's success, beauty and independence - and their chemistry is off the charts. The video is just as hype, with the pair shopping, having a sleepover and driving around in a decked-out Tesla. It was directed by Dave Meyers, and it's a really fun watch.
The hook will get stuck in your head, with Saweetie spitting, “That’s my best friend, she a real bad b*tch / Drive her own car, she don’t need no Lyft." Doja matches her, laying down the bar, “If she ride for me, she don’t need a key.”
Saweetie's debut album is set to feature production from Timbaland, Danja, Lil John, Murda Beatz and more. To her, B*tch means "Boss. Independent. Tough. CEO. Hyphy", and this latest single embodies all those personality traits.
