Skrillex has been working away on new music for a while now, and he's just hit us with two huge collaborations. They both show off different sides of his production skills, and are proof that he's always one step ahead of the game.
The first track he's released is Butterflies, featuring Starrah and Four Tet. The track is his first official release since 2019, and it's very house-influenced.
Speaking about the collaboration, Four Tet says, “Working with Sonny [Moore, aka Skrillex] and seeing his cosmic level ableton skills in real time has been amazing and huge respect for how crazy good he got the mix sounding. So much detail went into this one. Feels so good to have it out there.”
Meanwhile, Too Bizarre lives up to its name, in the best of ways. It features Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee and Siiickbrain, with the pair delivering very different vocal performances.
Swae Lee sing-raps over the huge bassline that Skrillex has put together, before the track takes a huge left-turn. Siiickbrain comes in with a hardcore-esque scream, calling back to Skrillex's roots as part of From First To Last.
