Congratulations to The Wiggles for winning this year's Hottest 100 with their Like A Version cover of Tame Impala's Elephant! It's truly the most chaotic result possible, and very fitting given what's unfolded in the world over the last 12 months.
It was a tight battle between The Wiggles, The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber's Stay and Spacey Jane's Lots Of Nothing with Olivia Rodrigo's good 4 u and Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever rounding out the top 5. It proved to be a historic countdown for Billie Eilish, becoming the first artist ever to appear in four consecutive Hottest 100 Top 10s.
Olivia Rodrigo ended up with five songs in the countdown, as did Doja Cat, while Lil Nas X had two songs in the top 10: Industry Baby (feat. Jack Harlow) at #8, and MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) at #10. RÜFÜS DU SOL featured in the top 10 for the first time with On My Knees at #9, having previously featured in the countdown 12 other times (including featuring at #19 in this countdown with Alive and #25 with Next To Me).
Silk Sonic (aka Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars) made an appearance at #47 with their Grammy-nominated debut single Leave The Door Open, while Cardi B appeared twice, at #52 for her track Up, and on Lizzo's Rumors at #73. Dune Rats' Up also appeared in the countdown at 49, marking the 4th time two songs with the same name have appeared in the same Hottest 100 countdown.
