It’s almost time, folks. With the pending start to Donald Trump’s presidency merely days away, it sadly means goodbyes are in motion for the much-loved man and character still in office, Barack Obama.
While his exit from the White House and presidency status doesn't mean he'll be unemployed, that hasn't stopped potential job offers from flooding in, with the latest coming from Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. If Obama so chooses to accept the offer, the official title for his role would be 'President Of Playlists'.
The role appears tailor-made for one of America’s much-loved characters, with the job description stating you must “provide world-class leadership to our playlist and supporting staff” as well as being able to “celebrate our diversity of playlists, from Viva Lation to Rap Caviar”. The job description also states that the applicant “must have at least eight years running a highly-regarded nation” and "good relationships with a wide range of artists and musicians”.
Obama must also have is past experience of having "Kendrick Lamar play at your birthday," a requirement that he'll obvs pass with flying colours.
And if you thought Obama had no taste in music and wasn’t qualified for the gig, check out the playlists he posted in August last year:
Can we envision Obama as the president of Spotify's playlists? Yes we can.
