    The Kite String Tangle

A couple of weeks ago, Brisbane electronic mastermind The Kite String Tangle debuted a brand new sound with his track P()L4R, a rumbling, UK Garage-inspired sound that was miles away from the euphoric soundscapes we knew from him.

Now, the banger has received an official music video and it's basically set in a rave cave with lasers, trippy mirror effects and a full band that brings the Danny Harley's brooding new sound to life.

In an interview with Cool Accidents recently, he revealed that it was definitely an "active decision" to dabble in a darker sound.

"I have a lot more music coming that will be similarly bleak. I think it’s an interesting progression for me as an artist and producer and it’s come really naturally so I’ve just let it take over a bit. There’s still elements that tie in with my previous material but it’s definitely different."

Along with P()L4R, The Kite String Tangle debuted the instrumental track C()D3X and both will be leading us to a set of headline shows from the Brisbanite next month - he'll be at Sydney's The Lansdowne on May 30th, Brisbane's The Brightside on May 31st and Melbourne's Howler on June 1st.

Danny also performed the new track on a special episode of SBS's The Feed which you can check out here.
