It’s been aaaaages since we’ve made mention of Charli XCX around these parts but it certainly doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about our favourite indie-goth-pop-tronic babe… rest assured we still think/dream about her on the regular…
A couple of things have popped up on our radar lately that have reignited our love affair with the babin’ Brit.
First up she flexed her production skills by remixing another favourite here at Cool Accidents in the way of Portugal. The Man and their track ‘Modern Jesus’. She adds a moody and dark twist to the track complete with a chopped and screwed vocal. Give it a spin and watch John Gourley create an 'Evil’ version of Charli in the video below.
And even more recently she lent her ear worm hook writing expertise and vox to Australian femcee Iggy Azalea and her track 'Fancy’ which is currently dominating the internet and sitting atop the Hype Machine charts. Get your ears around this BBC radio rip before it drops officially on April 6.
Hopefully this all helps further expand Charli’s profile and more people will discover her criminally slept on ’True Romance’ album from last year or her current cross over pop smash SuperLove single which is part of a new record that is due out later this year. We for one can. not. wait.
