Pop megastar Billie Eilish has just announced her new album, Happier Than Ever, will be out on July 30th. It's the follow-up to her all-conquering debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? She's been working once again with her brother FINNEAS on the album.

To celebrate the album's announcement, we've put together all the information we know about the album so far, so you can be in the know about what's to come.

    What's she said about it?

Billie announced the new album on social media, writing, “This is my favorite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it.

"I can’t even tell you. I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. Hope you feel what I feel.” Given the success of her previous music, that's a pretty big statement, and one that's got us very excited.

When's the first single coming out?

You won't have to wait too long for the first taste of the new album. It's set to drop on April 29th, so stay tuned to hear what that'll sound like.

What's it going to sound like?

As part of the announcement, Billie included a clip of what sounds like will be Happier Than Ever, and it's sounding very, very jazzy. Her voice sounds timeless in the clip, and it's an intriguing new direction for her.

Speaking to Stephen Colbert back in February, she says the album was influenced by COVID. “I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID," Billie says.

She elaborated, saying, “That doesn’t mean it’s about COVID at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank COVID for that, and that’s about it.”
