With a big wide grin, colourful tattoos all over his face and bright pink or blue dreadlocks, most people know at least one song by Lil Pump and that's the viral hit, Gucci Gang.
With almost a billion views on YouTube, Gucci Gang was the phrase that got Lil Pump steadfastly on the hip hop/SoundCloud rap map, with his "ignorant but catchy" lyrics (his words, not ours), emo-trap beats and colourful attitude making him a memorable figure in the hip hop world.
Pump has already worked with the likes of Kanye West (who could forget I Love It?), Skrillex, Swae Lee and Lil Uzi Vert, but as he gears up to drop his second full-length, Harverd Dropout, this Friday, we thought it'd be well worth your while to get yourself educated on everything Lil Pump.
he's only 18
Lil Pump was born in August 2000 which means he's only just turned 18. He was first signed at 16 though, soon after he started dropping songs on SoundCloud like Boss and D Rose.
smokepurpp is an old friend
Introduced by Pump's cousin when he was 13, Smokepurpp was the one that first got Pump rapping and recording music. Pump says in an interview that Smokepurpp asked him to freestyle over a beat once, and the rest is history. The pair have three songs together on Pump's debut record, so we'll have to see if they hook up again for Harverd Dropout!
he has had a few run-ins with the law
There's no beating around the bush - Lil Pump has collected a few mugshots over the years. In February 2018, he was arrested for shooting a gun inside his home. In August, he was again arrested for driving without a license, and went to jail for a few months for violating parole. In December, he was banned from returning to Denmark for two years, and back in the US in December, Pump was arrested for disorderly conduct at an airport. He never seems TOO fussed about it and is always grinning in his mugshots!

he's very fond of iCarly
Given his age, we reckon Pump grew up watching iCarly on Nickelodeon like all of us. He's got a bit of an obsession with actor Miranda Cosgrove though, posting numerous Instagrams about wanting to date her. He's even got a pillow with her face on it! We think the whole having a kid with iCarly is a joke though...
obviously, he's a fan of gucci
You don't write a song about being in a Gucci Gang if you don't wear a heap of Gucci. Pump's often seen in some of the label's loudest and most outrageous items, including Gucci tracksuits, Gucci beanies, Gucci scarves and Gucci sweaters. He even has a Gucci logo tattooed on his chest! Is he sponsored by Gucci? We have no idea.
