Around the time of the (rather ordinary) Bowie album fervour I remember reading a piece about the artwork which was a bit controversial.
Some people seemed happy to accept that the sleeve was some kind of statement (if it’s Bowie it must be cleverer than we think…) but I just couldn’t see it.
Although the designer (Jonathan Bambrook) had a justification that belonged well on pseuds corner I felt:
The good people over at Rhino have done the hard work for us and compiled a comprehensive selection of Nile Rodgers tracks that features his work with Chic, his productions for the likes of David Bowie, Madonna & INXS and obviously his latest guest spot with Daft Punk all in one handy playlist.
God damn I love the internet, especially when you stumble across websites where it’s obvious the people that curate them obviously have a lot of spare time on their hands to well and truly ‘get their nerd on’ and deliver something super cool.
We’re quickly approaching stalker status with the amount we’ve been banging on about Charli xcx over the past week or two but seriously it’s not our fault she keeps doing cool shit and is so amazing… and is so god damn good looking…
