Lookout Brisbane! Melbourne’s REPTILES are bringing their bizarre brand of punk/DETHROK business to the BIGSOUND conference for a couple of equally bizarre shows.

Find out what to expect live and get an insight as to what the guys are all about thanks to this totally off the wall/fly on the wall mini doco they shot earlier this year as they made their way across the States & Mexico, taking in SXSW and playing shows with Cool Accidents faves No Zu & Kirin J Callinan.

So I go and see gigs a lot, and have been since possibly the beginning of time. I’ve pretty much been to all flavors over the years as well, from straight edge vegan punk fests in Detroit to Rammstein in a field in Germany to Macklemore on a boat in Sydney Harbour and Bjork at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. I’m pretty blessed on that front having somehow blagged it as a manager and now a label dude for nearly 20 years, and have the tinnitus to prove it.

I’m having a beer with a priest in Texas. This is South by Southwest, undeniably the world’s biggest and probably its best music festival.

SXSW is seriously the craziest place you can ever go where music is involved. You definitely wouldn’t want to be a non music lover or suffer from claustrophobia as it’s music and people everywhere, 24/7

Here are a few essential tips I learned from my time in Austin that may come in handy should you ever make the trek.
