We’ve made no secret around these parts about our love for Danny Harley aka The Kite String Tangle. And his tunes, although few and far between at this early stage of his career have been constant staples in every playlist we’ve put together since hearing Given The Chance last year.
Now in its 36th year, Celebrate Brooklyn 2014 kicked off early June with a headline performance by the ever charismatic Janelle Monae. With several venues throughout Brooklyn including a stage under the Brooklyn Bridge, the Band Shell at Prospect Park offers Brooklynites a local alternative to the Summer Series in Central Park in Manhattan.
Architecture is the third single from Australian alt-pop duo Manor, comprising vocalist Caitlin Duff and multi-instrumentalist Nathaniel Morse.
Meticulously self-recorded in Melbourne at Elysian Fields, ‘Architecture’ was mixed by Ned Cooke (Dappled Cities, Swimwear) with additional production by Lee Groves (Goldfrapp, Elbow) before being mastered in Brooklyn by Joe Lambert (Toro Y Moi, The National.)
I start my day off at MOKHA sipping on a Machiatto with Tracey and Steven. Steven works for the promoter and stays with the Cold War Kids when in New York. Tracey is tour managing Mumford And Sons and has had a on-again-off-again thing with one of the members of Empire of The Sun. I never remember which one. I read the morning paper and smoke a rolled cigarette, I don’t like polluting my body with tailoreds.
I’ve been looking for any general purpose segue that would allow me to write a little comething on Cool Accidents about Game of Thrones because I need to talk about it. The series is consuming me. I mean, the books got me, but the show is so perfectly cast that I can’t help but get knee deep in every plot twist and unexpected mortality.
I understand that I can opt-out at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
