Sydney-based R&B artist BOY SODA has just released his new single BIG, and it's a track that captures the journey of learning to stay in the moment, while also being self-aware. If you're on that journey (or looking for some guidance), then you'll want to check this out.

BOY SODA's silky vocals float over some hypnotic production, hooking you in from the very first note and not letting go. It's a sign of what's to come for BOY SODA in 2022, having spent some serious time in the studio grinding away. The visuals for the song are just as impressive as the track, serving as a metaphor for exploring new territory. When we say these visuals are out-of-this-world, we mean it - but you'll just have to check them out for yourself.

Speaking about the track, BOY SODA explains, “I wanted to zoom as far out from myself as possible, so that I could reignite a sense of purpose as I also looked at myself closely in all the verses. I catch myself overthinking a lot, so this song is what those thoughts look like if I leave them uninterrupted.

“I love that the chorus shifts and lifts to an unexpected place because it allows the song to exist more universally. A hook like that, with fairly dense verses just makes sense and I enjoy showing my range in that way.”

To celebrate the release of BIG, BOY SODA's announced a special show at Sydney's Lansdowne Hotel on April 7th. It's set to be one of the last gigs there before it shuts at the end of April. You can find out more about the show here.
