Budjerah recently teamed up with Ed Sheeran for a remix of 2step, which is one of the highlights from Ed's 2021 album =. The remix features Budjerah providing the track's second verse, building on the song's story about an unforgettable evening spent with the person you love more than anything. 

Budjerah's verse adds a soulful touch to the track, and lyrics like "We can stay up till the sunrise, kick it in the late night/Just you and me, don't have to be shy, baby" make the track one of the sweetest releases of the year. If you're putting together a playlist for someone to show them how much they mean to you, then this has to be included.

To celebrate the release of the massive collaboration, Budjerah's shared a TikTok that captures his mum's reaction to hearing the song for the first time. It's a truly wholesome video, and judging by her reaction, she's every bit as excited about the collaboration as Budjerah is - possibly even more!

He's also shared a video that gives more insight into how the collaboration came together. In the video he explains, "When I got the text I was really shocked. I didn't think Ed Sheeran would even know who I was. It was a big shock even for him to say my name right at the ARIAs."

He went on to reveal how he felt about the collaboration, remarking, "Getting asked to write a verse for one of his songs is just crazy. It’s a real ‘what the heck’ moment. I just grew up in a small town, just a small Aboriginal boy singing every day and now I’m on a song with one of the biggest artists in the world. I just can’t believe it. I just hope people like the song!”
