Calvin Harris has teamed up with Dua Lipa and Young Thug for Potion, a seriously smooth track that'll help you slide into the weekend. Potion is chock-full of groove and follows on from Calvin and Dua's massive collaboration One Kiss, which was one of the biggest songs of 2018.

Dua's vocals are laid-back and seductive, complementing Young Thug's bouncy flow. Sultry lyrics like “Late night conversations, electric emotions/Sprinkled with a little bit of sex/and that’s a potion” are present throughout the track, so Potion will help you turn the heat up. The song's bassline is understated yet gripping, while the song's intro riff is instantly mesmerising. This track makes us wish we were able to roller skate.

Prior to the song's release, Calvin shared a TikTok showing how he brought Potion to life. It's an interesting video for any aspiring musicians out there, as it shows Calvin playing the different instrumental parts of the track (as well as how he asked Dua to provide vocals for Potion).

Potion is set to feature on Calvin's upcoming sixth studio Funk Wav Bounces Vol.2 - fitting, as this track is full of funk. The album is the sequel to 2017's Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1, which featured a cavalcade of collaborations. Presumably, we can expect more of the same from Vol.2.
