If you're reading this after seeing the title, then you're already thinking about what it would sound like if The Beatles wrote and performed Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's huge 2020 collaboration WAP. Fear not, because we have the answer.
TikTok user @adammbmusic uploaded a video after a request from a comment, where he sings WAP's lyrics in the style of The Beatles' Yesterday while playing the guitar. The resulting performance, which he's calling WAPsterday, is truly mesmerising.
We're not the only ones loving it, as the comments section is full of praise. People are writing things like "this is good because it's one of the best pieces of music ever written, and Yesterday by the Beatles" and "I'm walking down the aisle to this". Nailed it.
Cardi B and The Beatles have more in common than just this hypnotic cover. The Beatles, Cardi B and Ashanti all made history when their first three tracks to enter the Billboard Hottest 100 simultaneously featured in the chart's top 10. It's a massive achievement, and the chart success was a precursor to the seismic impact that Cardi's debut album Invasion Of Privacy had.
The Beatles achieved the feat in 1964 with I Want To Hold Your Hand, She Loves You and Please Please Me, while Cardi made it happen with her features on G-Eazy's No Limit and Migos' MotorSport, as well as the fantastic Bodak Yellow. Ashanti rounds out the trio, with her tracks Foolish, What's Luv with Fat Joe and Always On Time with Ja Rule all featuring in the Top 10 in 2002.

You can check out the TikTok below. The only logical follow-up to this (at least in our view) is Cardi B covering a song from The Beatles. Maybe she should put her spin on I Am The Walrus?
