The 2022 edition of the iconic New York festival Governors Ball is just around the corner, with this year's festival taking place from June 10th to June 12th. One of the best moments from the 2021 edition - a moment between Cordae and a fan - has recently gone viral on TikTok. It's truly amazing, so we wanted to share it with you.
The clip features Cordae pulling a young fan called Emmett on stage to rap Cordae's RNP with him, a collaboration that features Anderson .Paak. To get Cordae's attention, the fan held up a sign that read "Yo Cordae, I can do the Paak RNP verse. We texted last week." If you're going to shoot your shot, then you have to deliver - and that he did.
Cordae got Emmett on stage to perform after seeing the sign, and he made the most of the occasion. His energetic performance of Paak's verse is a sight to behold, and the crowd was eating it up. In the clip, he claims that he's been "rapping in the mirror for a week straight", and the result is a flawless performance. How do we become this confident?
Earlier this year, Cordae released his second album, From A Birds Eye View. It's an introspective, mature record that builds on the success of his 2019 debut The Lost Boy, and it showcases why he's held in such high regard by both his peers and music fans.
