Cordae (formerly known as YBN Cordae) has teamed up with Roddy Ricch to drop his new single Gifted, and it continues Cordae's rise to the top of the rap game.

It's the first song we've heard from Cordae since last year's The Lost Boy, and it sees him talking about his roots, and where he came from. Roddy and Cordae are both aware of their star power, and they plan to put it to good use.

The video is as big of a flex as the track is, with the song coming with a video directed by Cole Bennett. Both Roddy and Cordae are driving around the streets of California. - but as the video progresses, the ride gets nicer.

The video finishes with a powerful onscreen quote from Huey P. Newton, saying, "The revolution has always been in the hands of the young. The young always inherit the revolution."

Talking with Zane Lowe, Cordae explains how the pair linked up. "We actually did that song last year, like last August. So we did that song like a year ago. And Roddy is just like a homie of mine, like in real life, you know what I'm saying? We always connect, have real life conversations.

"And I think we did Real Street Festival, we both did a festival that day. And then I pulled up on him at the studio and we made that song together that same night. It was definitely a dope process making that record, for sure."
