Creed Tha Kid has shared his wavy debut EP, Mixed Emotions Vol. 1, and it brings together elements of hip-hop, pop and R&B that are all underpinned by Creed's silky vocals. Tracks like the mellow Wind It and the bouncy Guide You see Creed reaching out to that someone special, and it's an EP that centres around the theme of love. Welcome to Creed's world.
Speaking about the EP, Creed explains that Mixed Emotions Vol. 1 "is a body of work expressing my last two years of life. Feelings and challenges I go through regularly while also dabbing into my take on love lust & lies. Had the chance to make this with my brothers Mess and Liam [Thomas] who always push me to be my greatest."
The project arrives alongside a music video for EP highlight Luv Galore, which was directed by Moonboy (aka Kevin Bar) of Moonboy Studios. If you're a fan of superheroes, then you'll want to check out this cinematic and heightened clip. It's a fun watch.
Speaking about the video, Moonboy says, "I've wanted to work with Creed since early 2020 having seen him grow so quickly as an artist as well as somewhat of a fashion icon. About a year later, the team and I got the perfect opportunity to work with him, so with that we wanted to create something a little different to what viewers might expect.
"A cross between Astro Boy, Cowboy Bebop and Alita: Battle Angel. Creed was super fun and easy to work with. Shoutouts to him and his team for letting us create this visual for him!"
You can check out the video for Luv Galore below, as well as the EP. It's an exciting release from one of Australia's most versatile artists, and you'll get swept up in his charm as soon as you press play.
