We were all sad when we got wind of the news that Childish Gambino had cancelled his upcoming Australian tour to take care of his injured foot. The knife cut even deeper when we found out that Donald Glover would still be heading to New Zealand though, to perform at his immersive PHAROS event.
Well, a Brisbane dude got so cut up about the fact that he had bought flights to Sydney for Gambino's Sydney Opera House show only to have the show cancelled has organised a mass listening party outside the iconic Sydney venue.
As theMusic.com.au reports, an event called 'Sit outside Opera House & play Childish Gambino on my UE boom' has attracted over a thousand interested Gambino fans who wanna mourn the lack of the musician on Aussie stages.

The event hilariously states, "Everyone faces trials and tribulations. For Gambino, it was the respectable yet sad decision to cancel his Australian tour. For me, it was the realisation that I’d bought plane tickets from Queensland to Sydney only days earlier and now have nothing to do the evening of November 15. It is not the trials that shape a man, but yet, how he chooses to overcome them."
It sounds like a truly pathetic affair, but what can you do? We just need some Gambino in our lives.
