Toronto R&B duo dvsn are teaming up with one-man hit factory Ty Dolla $ign for a new album together, and they've just unleashed the first single from the album, I Believed It, which features the late Mac Miller.
I Believed It combines the production of dvsn's Nineteen85 with Ty and dvsn lead singer Daniel Daley's vocals, as well as a powerful verse from Mac Miller. The track talks about a relationship that relied on broken promises and subsequently fell apart, and everyone's in their feelings on this one. If you've been in a similar position, then this one will hit home.
They've previously worked together, with Ty appearing on dvsn's 2020 album A Muse In Her Feelings, and the energy in the studio's led them to want to create a whole project together. Sign us up!
The pair took to Instagram to announce the release, as well as writing "joint project otw... sooner than you think". This might just be what 2021 needs to get everything back on track.
Dvsn and Ty have also released a visualiser for I Believed It, which features footage of the recording of the track. It's bittersweet, as it prominently features Mac Miller, but it's sweet seeing them all in their element.
