Spotify podcast Dissect is back for season nine, and this season is set to focus on Mac Miller's final two albums, Swimming and Circles. Over 14 episodes, Dissect will "unpack Mac’s beautifully honest efforts to swim amidst the often tumultuous currents of the human experience."

Past seasons of Dissect have spoken about Kanye West's Yeezus, Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly and other albums instrumental to hip-hop's culture. Each season delves into the making of the music, as well as adding context to the projects by looking at their impact, both at the time and today.

Speaking about Swimming, host Cole Cuchna says, “Two years in the making, it was an album that would stay true to the video central image of a man entrenched in his own psyche—observing, searching, scrutinizing.

"It was an album that communicates a universal notion of seeking peace amidst the unrelenting currents of emotions. An album whose central symbol is water. The replenishing source of life that can just as easily pull you under. It was Mac Miller’s Swimming."
