Frank Ocean rarely gives interviews, so when he gives one you better believe we're pulling it apart with a fine tooth comb.
He spoke to Gayletter and actually revealed that he's doing more interviews lately which is a positive we guess.
He was asked about what he's up to right now and he said that he's "making things", splitting his time between the studio in New York and Los Angeles.
There was no further word about new music but the fact that he's in the studio tinkering away means something surely.
Ocean also went into the business behind releasing Endless and Blonde. Endless was released as the final project with his former label Def Jam and also closed out a deal with Apple. Blonde then dropped the next day.
"Some of those things—particularly the Universal thing [Universal owns Def Jam, his former label]—was taking forever," he said, noting that he used that waiting time to work on the Boys Don't Cry magazine.
Maybe, just maybe, it took so long to release Blonde because of this but it's been three years since the release of Blonde now so he's nearly made us wait as long as we did after Channel ORANGE.
Ocean also talked about his favourite TV shows saying that he watches Handmaid's Tale, Chef's Table and Grown-ish.
You can read the entire interview here. It's actually a very rare, candid chat with Ocean.
