Griff's no stranger to transforming tracks from other artists, and she's turned Phoebe Bridgers' Kyoto into an electronic track that'll get you up and dancing.
The video is the latest entry in Griff's Against The Clock series, which involves Griff having just one hour to cover a track. She's teamed up with London-based musician Conor Albert for this edition of the series, and the result is captivating.
The video captures their process when creating the cover, and while an hour isn't a long time at all, they pull off the cover with ease. Griff's vocals soar over Conor's guitar playing, and it's a chill, electronic version of Kyoto that'll be on our minds for a while.
It's been a busy year for Griff, having released her acclaimed debut mixtape One Foot In Front Of The Other back in June, as well as recently releasing her new single, One Night. Where does Griff find the time to sleep?
In the past couple of years, Griff has covered Lorde's Solar Power and Dua Lipa's Break My Heart, and she's got a great ability to retain the spirit of the track she's covering, while putting her own spin on it.
