YouTube have just announced they'll be streaming some very special live performances as part of the YouTube Music Sessions, and when you see the line-up you'll be in awe.
The four live streams will each see one of Australia's biggest acts supported by an up-and-coming artist, with the likes of Vera Blue, Jack Gray and Mia Rodriguez all set to play.
The music industry has been hit hard by COVID-19, and this is a way for YouTube to give back. They've partnered with ARIA and Support Act to help out the Australian music industry and to give fans a chance to check out what some of their favourite artists have been up to while in isolation.
We're particularly excited for August 26th, where Vera Blue and Jack Gray will be playing together. Vera Blue is excited to (virtually) play with Jack, saying, “Jack Gray is an incredibly cool up and coming artist! I love his style and his voice is so unique. His songs have a semi electronic rock style with emotion and which reminds me of surfy skate rock culture.”
Speaking about his support for the performances, Jack Gray says it's important for the music community to come together. “We know it’s not easy, at the best of times, being a new artist on the scene trying to get your music out there so I think it’s such an important thing right now for the community to come together and help each other out.”
