After two years without any new music, Lizzo is finally returning with Rumors. It's the first taste of a new era that she's teasing and we're more than ready for it. Rumors sees her team up with Cardi B for the first time, marking one of the biggest collabs of the year.
When she teased the collaboration, fans started talking. They thought it was Harry Styles and then they speculated that it may even be Rihanna. It got us thinking about our dream Lizzo collaborations and you'll find 8 of them below.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles was one of the top artists tipped to be on Rumors when Lizzo began teasing a collab. The pair are vocal fans of each other and have a well-documented musical love story. Styles covered Juice for the Radio 1 BBC Live Lounge and then covered it again with Lizzo by his side. Lizzo then returned the favour by covering Adore You. They then held hands at the BRIT Awards. Nearly every fan on earth is manifesting this collab so let's make it happen.
Megan Thee Stallion
Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion are both Texas girls. We know what happened when Meg collaborated with fellow Texan Beyoncé so now we've gotta see what her and Lizzo bring. The pair have a storied relationship, mostly documented on social media as twerking and liquor. Honestly, they could've just released the below video of Meg twerking while Lizzo plays the flute and it would go to number one but an official collab would be nice too.
SZA
Slowly SZA is coming back into the spotlight. She's released a handful of her own singles this year and collaborated with Isaiah Rashad, James Blake, Saint JHN and more. The pair have been spotted together on multiple occasions and SZA consistently talks about Lizzo in interviews. "She just makes me feel really good to be who I am," SZA says about her. We need a bit of that energy from the pair of them.

Rihanna
Every so often we manifest a Rihanna and Lizzo collab and then we snap out of it. It would simply be too much. Rihanna hasn't put her vocals too much recently if anything, but we reckon she's come out of hiding for Lizzo. She's a big fan of Lizzo, featuring her in her SAVAGE x FENTY lingerie show. Rihanna said they hadn't talked about a collaboration but she exclaimed, "I would collaborate with her on the lights for this show," when asked about Lizzo on the red carpet for the show.
Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X and Lizzo both scaled the heights of the charts at the same time with Old Town Road and Truth Hurts respectively. Nas and Lizzo were pictured hanging out together at the Grammys and then they reportedly went to a strip club together after. Now, both are about to battle on the charts again with new records so why don't they just combine their powers and create chaos?
Ariana Grande
So this one has already happened, kind of. Grande hopped on Lizzo's Good As Hell when it started to scale the charts offering an airy verse but we're gonna need more. We need an original. Two of the best vocalists on earth right now teaming up for a powerhouse moment that would open the heavens. Is that really too much to ask?
Frank Ocean
Of all the artists listed here, Frank Ocean may be the most secretive. He hasn't released a full-length album since Blonde but he broke his silence recently to announce the launch of a new luxury brand Homer. Naturally, we're now searching for the new music and Lizzo could be an option for his comeback. The pair were spotted having a smooch at the Met Gala so we know they know about each other.
Shania Twain
This one is a long shot but we reckon that it could actually happen. Shania Twain has been waxing lyrical about Lizzo for a long time now. Back at the Grammys in 2020, Twain said that Lizzo was her dream collaboration. "I met her and we sang together and just jammed," she said. She also said that she wrote a song for the pair after that. Where is the song and how much do we have to pay to make it public?
