It's been a little while since Lizzo released her 2019 album Cuz I Love You, but it looks like her next album is on the way. We've been eagerly anticipating the follow-up, and Lizzo has heard the calls.
She recently spoke at SXSW as one of the keynote speakers, and she wasn't wasting any time after her speech. Taking to Twitter, Lizzo wrote, "Flew home after an amazing #sxsw and mastered my album. IM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH MY ALBUM YALL". Amazing news!
Lizzo recently spoke to Variety about her new album (as well as her upcoming Amazon show Watch Out For The Big Grrrls) and revealed some intriguing details about her new project.
She told Variety, "Broadly, I’ve been working on this album since the summer of 2018. It has evolved to a place where I’m proud. It’s one of the most musically badass, daring and sophisticated bodies of work I’ve done to date.
"I am not done. I’m still pushing out the hits, baby. And I hope that it is some of the most useful pieces of music to ever exist. All I want to do is help people through my music." We can't wait to hear what Lizzo's been working on in recent times.
