Throughout history, bribery has proven to be one of the most effective strategies at convincing people to do anything.
Lorde's taken to Instagram to bribe people to vote in the upcoming New Zealand federal election, promising that'll be worth their while.
Posting on her Instagram story, Lorde says, “Do it for our beautiful country and for me. And next year I’ll give you something in return.”

She also included some handy information about the importance of the upcoming election, including the two referendums that will be involved as part of the voting process.
Now, we can't see inside Lorde's mind, but we can only imagine she's suggesting that if her NZ fans vote, then there'll be new music in 2021. It only makes sense, right?
